One And Done ? Hell Yeah We Stunk Up The Joint Like The Bitches That We Are ….

For much of the weekend football was the least thing on my mind as an army buddy of mine on, home on leave from Iraq had to deal with more than most should have to deal with. His wife was attacked and almost came succumbed to a sexual assault. Had it not been for her quick thinking then her fate could’ve been far worse than it ended up being . She escaped with a few minor bruises and with her psyche being badly shaken up . So if I seem somewhat uninterested in the weekend’s events then you can understand where I’m coming from.

Ashlee Simpson does it only the way that a ‘talentless hack’ can !

Well, the New England Patriots took on the Baltimore Ravens at Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, Massachusetts on Sunday afternoon. A great game was expected from the home team on their home field. But there was little evidence of that from the Patriots, as the Joe Flacco led Ravens ably assisted by teammates, Ray Lewis and Ray Rice, literally feasted on the Patriots as if they were the carcass of some dead animal ! It would be an understatement to say that the Patriots’ performance was bad . But the last time I saw a performance that bad, it was Ashlee Simpson’s performance on ‘Saturday Night Live’ . She was then naïve enough to blame her lip synched performance on acid reflux and on her accompanying band. Well for me as a Pats’ fans , well, let’s just say the only reflux I had , was in wanting to ‘take a dump’ ,seeing a team play so ineptly. This performance collectively , was as bad as it comes and then some ! Offensively, this Bill Belichick coached team was uncreative, lacking in composure and competitiveness. Never mind the fact that the Ravens’ defense had their way with the team. But what became even more apparent as the game proceeded to what would be its inevitable progression was that this team lacked the heart for a ‘real fight’.

At no time during the proceedings did I have the impression that the Patriots were in this game , much less have the chance of winning it. Tom Brady and this Patriots’ team were in awe of their opponents and were ran ragged by the gusto and gravitas of John Harbaugh’s Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens obliterated the Patriots’ defense and the resultant score 33-14 was enough to suggest that this Ravens’ team can only get better, as it progresses further into the playoffs. Doubt my word ? Then should you get the chance to , then watch the highlights of the game between these two AFC teams. Only one of the two teams came to compete and the other was merely there to show up as being nothing more than cannon fodder for the other.

The Baltimore Ravens will now travel to Indianapolis and the RCA Dome to play the Indianapolis Colts in the divisional round of the playoffs. And for the winner there awaits a berth in the AFC championship game ,with beyond that a berth in the Superbowl , for the winner of that particular encounter. The stakes are high and the rewards greater but somehow this all seemed to be lost on the New England Patriots, on the day. Hardly something that one would’ve thought likely, prior to their encounter with the Ravens. But then again the post game interview indicated to me, that Bill Belichick and his team, were either overwhelmed with the occasion or just merely ill prepared on the day. Somehow, they were deserving of their fate and the mere fact that fans chose to leave Gillette Stadium before half time, should be enough of an indication to Belichick and his team how much of a bitch they became at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens , on Sunday. Speaking as a fan of the team, this was something that they deserved because of the lack of commitment and complacency shown in every facet of the game on Sunday. They got busted up for being a ‘complete fraud’ for much of the ‘regular season’ but even more so in the postseason !

Once again the Patriots will go into the offseason wondering where it all went wrong. It’s clear to see that structurally the organization will have to rethink its approach of signing aged weary free agents who can simply no longer produce at the highest tier of the game. And at the same time they have to be more disciplined on the defensive side of the ball. Never mind the fact, that as an offense the team was about as cohesive as a unit, as a bunch of ill prepared conscripts in a military unit. And much of that falls on the shoulders of Bill Belichick and his entire coaching staff. They’re as much to blame for the ineptitude shown on the field as were the players , collectively. At no point during the game were you ever under the impression that they could overcome the play of the Baltimore Ravens. And they had they summarily had their ‘proverbial asses’ hand to them on a silver platter. As a fan I’m tremendously disappointed but even more so that the fans in attendance had to put up with such a none descript and complete lackadaisical display and effort that was worthy of the bitches they became on Sunday afternoon. Kudos to the Baltimore Ravens on a thoroughly well deserved and earned victory !

Don’t get me wrong , the Ravens thoroughly deserved the win ! But the Pats put up about as much fight as room full of transvestites ‘throwing down’ with The Village People . It was an abomination to watch and Belicheck should be giving more than just perfunctory blase’ excuses. He ought to be offering up ‘a profound apology’ to the Pats fans for such a piss poor display and execution of a game !

Belichick has now become an enigma wrapped up in a conundrum !

  2. I understand totally my friend . I hope they catch that asshole and fry his ass in oil and cut his nuts off. Ravens kicked total ass. I love it. I am tired of the Pats and Belichick and his merry band of butt heads. I am sad the Eagles stunk the joint but I knew this would happen. Dallas has a good shot at winning the Super Bowl. My best friend in the world Harry-I me a die hard Eagles fan. We’re both from philly-predicated the Cowboys would win the Super Bowl. Harry’s a Vietnaim Vet. My prayers are with your friend and his wife.

I don’t mind my teams losing , just as long as they put a fight in defeat. What I saw from the Patriots was anything but that. They were god-dam awful in every ‘single facet of the game and then some’ ! They stunk up the joint so bad that the smell was so putrid that it could be smelt throughout Gillette Stadium and way beyond Foxboro. Is it any wonder that the fans were leaving the stadium way before half-time ?

  3. I have NEVER seen Brady and crew so inept!! Was the loss of Welker so devastating to the psyche?
I really think so…he has always been Brady’s playmaker or…….decoy.
Makes me think of my Steelers, without Troy the D was just “adequate”….One tooth missing off the cog does tend to mess up the works, doesn’t it.
Anyhow, that is my guess….without Welker….But then, what is NE’s Defenses excuse?

Flacco didn’t have all that great a game if you look at his stats but he still looked better than Brady. And the Pats’ defense simply had no answer for Ravens’ running back Ray Rice as he tore the secondary to shreds .

  5. May the wife of your friend be comforted and find peace in her life once again.

I didn’t know it was possible, but I actually felt sorry for the Patriots Sunday. Man, I must be getting soft in my old age.

The scars will be with her long after this tragedy is over and done with. I can’t imagine what’d it be doing to me , were I in my friend’s position. That’s why I’m now rethinking my situation with regard to having weapon in the home. Essentially all I’ve got are my collection of ceremonial swords that I’ve collected over the years from my interest in the martial arts.

The girlfriend (in her apartment) has a licensed handgun which she has for protection at home and I’ve taught her one or two hand to hand combat techniques for her own safety. But when it’s all said and done it comes down to being vigilant and being aware of your surroundings. But the fact of the matter is , you don’t expect to be attacked in your own home. And that’s the sad part of it all . This just goes to show how far society has sank in its depths of pervasiveness and depravity !

As to New England and their monstrous display , to say that I’m disappointed would be an understatement. Granted , the loss is one thing but to put on such an ungodly and cowardly display is unfathomable and an insult to the fans who expected ‘more from this team’ . Belichick and his entire coaching staff as well as the players ought to be ashamed of ‘their lack of complete effort, allround’ !

Hopefully this’ll be something that they can learn something from.
